‘The Race For Space’ [Test Card Recordings]
Public Service Broadcasting

This album impressed us from the word “Go”. Educational, inspirational and sonically flawless ‘The Race For Space’ captures significant moments from the competition between the USA and the Soviet Union and gives them beautiful and thought-provoking themes. Single ‘Go!’ is our ‘Song of the Year’ but this is far from a one-hit record. Ultimately this concept album comes together as a whole in what is an extraordinary musical biography.

Bring Me The Horizon
There have been some great rock productions this year, but this album really pushed the boat out in terms of progression of a modern rock band. Incorporating electronic and indie elements and opting for cleaner vocals, BMTH proved that they have no intention on resting on their laurels. It was a bold shift in style that paid off and produced a stand out rock album of 2015.

Alternative Album of the Year

Wolf Alice – ‘My Love Is Cool’ [Dirty Hit]

Wolf Alice have had an extraordinary year of festival, Live Lounge and TV appearances backed up by the release of this brilliant debut album. Catchy riffs and a mix of soft-spoken and punk-style vocals from Ellie Rowsell make this a highlight of alternative rock in 2015. Singles ‘Giant Peach’ and ‘Bros’ were highlights for us along with album track ‘Freazy’. Every song on the album offers a full ensemble achievement. It will be interesting to see what Wolf Alice can offer following on from this year.
