Bad News Club – Afterthought

Bad News Club is the moniker of a new and exciting London-based singer-songwriter. In his social media description, he simply says “I am a 22-year-old human with some sad music just for you. Welcome to bad news club, friend.” ‘Afterthought’ is a delicate and melancholic acoustic number packed with sensitivity and emotion. A song about love and loss, it’s not original in its inspiration but in terms of its delivery ‘Afterthought’ is delightful. The lines which cut through; “I’m so glad I fought to be an afterthought; just a stain on your memory” and “You’ll sleep while I’m screaming” are so desperately sad they contradict the calm and soothing rhythm which they accompany.
